Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant Nottinghamshire - Long Term
We are working with a fantastic alternative provision in the Nottinghamshire area to find a qualified, experienced, enthusiastic, and naturally caring SEND teaching assistant to join us on a long-term, full-time basis, which could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
To be a successful SEND teaching assistant, you will need:
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* A full UK driving license and access to a car
* Sensitivity and understanding
* Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
* Active listening skills
* The ability to look after children's physical, social, and emotional welfare
* Flexibility and openness to change
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* The ability to adapt teaching support according to students' needs
Other essential requirements include:
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the update service (application possible if needed)
* Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
* Professional reference checks
* A CV covering the last 5 years of employment history where possible
* Legal right to work in the UK
