A welcoming primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This role will involve working closely with class teachers to support children with additional needs, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The school has a strong ethos of inclusion and is looking for someone patient, proactive, and passionate about helping every child succeed. Responsibilities Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum. Work 1:1 with a child to support their learning, social, and emotional development. Assist the class teacher with differentiated activities to ensure all pupils can take part. Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons. Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Liaise with teachers, SENCo, and parents to support the child’s progress.
