Domestic Considerations: An FTRS (HC) appointment that attracts no X-factor pay nor any Home to duty travel. Nights Out Of Bed (NOOB)/Separated Service (SS) is not expected and purely conducted on a voluntary basis by the position incumbent. Any unit visit will be conduct during the working day which may include extended hours. T&S will be granted IAW current Army policy IOT support official working events and visits. Place of work is RHQ REME with some flexible working and WFH arrangements may be available. Position Role: Apprenticeships REME WO VM is to provide direct and sustained engagement with Fd Force elements IOT maximise understanding, learning and drive soldier’s progression towards Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA). Responsibilities: 1. Aligned to the delivery strategy; support Apprentices, Mentors, CoCs and Service Provider (SP) Field Coaches to regain Apprentice learning where low progression is identified. 2. Brief unit CoC, Co-ordinators and mentors of their Apprenticeship R&R and to maintain currency and availability of Unit mentor and Unit coordinator policy and D&G; Identifying gapped appointments. The WO VM post will be tied to operating from REME RHQ IOT manage Apprentices within ITT; attending/briefing all Apprenticeship Induction and Enrolment sessions as the Representative Employer. 3. To investigate Break-in-Learning and Withdrawal Applications and to advise SO2 Apprenticeships REME and CAL on any required challenges. 4. To champion, advise and assist in the use of Expert Witness Statements IOT keep apprentices in learning whilst deployed or when good opportunity of ‘On the Job’ trg is presented outside of that set by the SP Field Coaches. 5. Aligned to the communication strategy; deliver Unit and Course Trg Apprenticeship presentations IOT maintain and raise understanding throughout the Field Force; actively promote the REME Apprenticeship DC Page. 6. Lead on the administrative delivery of all Field Force Functional Skills and Unit Maths courses required to qualify for final Apprenticeship award; managing course loading, producing course AIs, booking trg facilities etc. 7. Allocated lead for Gateway and End Point Assessments to maintain programme throughput of soldier to EPA and completion. 8. Support collective apprenticeship training, aligned to the Service Provider’s intent, by coordinating all equipment, training facilities and human resources.
