This is a permanent, fulltime post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday (8.30am-4.30pm).

Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated technician to join the NHSGGC Pharmacy Team and take forward key prescribing initiatives and prescription management tasks.
As a key member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in promoting and implementing cost effective and evidence based prescribing within specific GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC. This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines
This post requires excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to influence and affect change. This is an opportunity to develop your career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings. Experience of working in Primary Care or as part of a multi-disciplinary team is desirable
You will coordinate the collection of information, input and analyse data, update clinical records as appropriate and collate information in support of quality medication reviews. You will also be required to discuss use of medicines over the phone with patients.
