Key Accountabilities:
* Manage the month end close process for your assigned business areas ensuring journals are completed in a technically accurate and timely manner and reconciliations are maintained to a high standard.
* Lead inventory accounting as well as a number of additional areas across the business.
* Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving reconciling items and delivering improvements to the auditability of the schedules.
* Review contract documentation to ensure correct accounting treatment and prepare technical accounting papers.
* Support the annual statutory and cost cap audits.
* Collaborate to develop the Microsoft Dynamics (ERP) to maximise automation and support accurate financial accounting.
* Contribute to ongoing finance transformation projects helping to build best in class finance systems and processes.
Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with post qualified experience
* Manufacturing Environment Experience: Experience with inventory accounting is required (ideally in a manufacturing environment).
* Accounting Principles: Solid understanding required.
* Process Improvement: Proven ability to manage and improve financial processes.
* Skills: Problem-solving, analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication skills, robust Excel skills, experience with PowerBI and D365 beneficial.
