Grade: Scale 6 (SCP 18 – 22). Salary: £31,351 - £33,699.
Outstanding parks and green spaces are central to Fylde’s reputation as an attractive place to live, work and visit. Maintained to high horticultural and environmental standards, these well-loved spaces contribute to community wellbeing, biodiversity and local pride.
The Role
Working within the Parks & Coastal Services team, you will undertake the day-to-day delivery of our green space improvement schemes across a varied portfolio of Grade II listed parks, community green spaces and woodlands. This includes planting programmes, landscape enhancements and improvements to park infrastructure, recreational facilities and public realm displays. You will also contribute to the delivery of external commercial and partnership projects, contributing to income generation and long-term sustainability of parks services. In addition, you will help progress nature-based solutions, sustainability initiatives and the continued enhancement of sites in line with recognised national benchmarking standards such as the Green Flag Award and RHS Britain In Bloom.
About You
You will have experience delivering green space and landscape improvement projects, with the ability to coordinate projects and contractors, manage budgets and monitor quality from concept through to completion. Strong horticultural or environmental knowledge and a keen eye for presentation will support high standards across planting, landscape enhancement and site management. Organised and proactive, you will be confident undertaking site assessments, preparing management plans and balancing competing priorities. You will communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with colleagues, community groups and external partners, contributing to projects that enhance and promote Fylde’s valued parks and green spaces.
