The Global Sales Director is responsible for developing and leading AMETEK LAND's worldwide sales strategy, driving sustained growth, and ensuring strong execution across all regions. This role oversees global direct sales teams, channel partners, and key accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives while identifying new opportunities in both established and emerging markets.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Business Manager for AMETEK LAND.

The Global Sales Director will work towards achieving mutually agreed business goals and will be measured on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and will be accountable for global sales performance, forecasting, funnel management, sales capability development, and the optimisation of channel strategies across all territories.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

1. Develop and execute a global sales strategy aligned with AMETEK LAND's long term growth objectives.
2. Define global "go to market" approaches by region, industry vertical, and customer segment.
3. Lead cross regional alignment, ensuring consistent sales processes, tools, and best practices

Sales Management & Performance

4. Oversee and guide regional sales leaders across EMEA, the Americas, and Asia Pacific.
5. Drive sales forecast accuracy, funnel growth, and disciplined territory management worldwide.
6. Establish high performance sales expectations and manage global KPIs.

Channel & Partner Network

7. Lead the global strategy for distributor, reseller, and agent networks.
8. Identify gaps, appoint new partners, evaluate performance, and implement continuous improvement.
9. Ensure channel programs support solution selling and elevate AMETEK LAND value propositions

Customer & Market Development

10. Strengthen AMETEK LAND's position with major global customers and EPCs.
11. Oversee development of large, strategic deals including multi site, multi product and long term agreements.
12. Conduct international customer visits, executive level presentations, and technical value discussions.

Commercial Management

13. Guide global pricing strategies ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with market conditions.
14. Support margin management, cost optimisation, and resolution of disputed invoices globally.
15. Collaborate with Business Unit Leadership, Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to ensure alignment.
16. Implement best practice AMETEK digital tools

Reporting & Business Insights

17. Deliver accurate global reporting on forecasts, sales trends, channel performance, and major projects.
18. Provide strategic insights to senior management to support business planning and investment decisions.

Leadership & Team Development

19. Mentor and develop regional sales managers and global key account leaders.
20. Build a strong, collaborative, multicultural sales organisation that delivers consistent global execution.

Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

21. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
22. Extensive senior level experience in international sales of industrial instrumentation or systems, ideally across metals, glass, hydrocarbon processing, or similar sectors.
23. Proven global experience managing multi region sales teams and complex channel networks.
24. Demonstrated success developing and executing global sales strategies and achieving consistent growth.
25. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing global pricing, margins, and negotiations.
26. Ability to translate technical product information into compelling, value based customer propositions.
27. Fluent in English; additional languages highly desirable.
28. Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills across diverse cultures and geographies.

Location and Travel Expectations:

The Global Sales Director may be based at AMETEK LAND's UK headquarters, at another AMETEK facility worldwide, or from a home office within a major global region.

Extensive travel in Europe, Americas & ASIA will be required.
