Job responsibilities
* Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
* Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
* Ensuring that the patient is the primary focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
* Assisting patients with compassion in activities of daily living while respecting privacy, dignity, and human rights.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* All Care Support Worker roles require evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Accepted evidence includes:
* Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks of clinical placements.
* Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation.
* QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011.
* QCF Level 2 or above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011.
* QCF Level 3 or above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (for Paediatric & Maternity roles only).
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing, currently without NMC Registration.
* Currently studying General/Adult Nursing (Student Nurse) with at least 12 weeks of clinical placements completed.
* Minimum of 6 months of Acute HCSW UK hospital or hospice experience within the last 2 years.
