Role – Housekeeping Manager

Location – The Christie Private Care and The Wilmslow, Manchester

Full Time - 37.5 hours

Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Manager to join our Manchester facilities.

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organising, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department to a high standard of cleanliness, observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of quality patient and visitor care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and developing all staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Managing teams and HR processes
2. Conduct stock management of consumables and spares
3. Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their role
4. Deploy and train staff on the use of latest cleaning technology while providing instructions and supervision where necessary
5. Certify that equipment is safe to use and in good working condition
6. Oversee all escalations and performance management developments
7. Supervise performance of cleaning team
8. Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
9. Keep close interaction, communication, and coordination with the all the departments
10. Support in maintaining a highly trained and motivated staff that constantly strives for excellence in cleanliness and service

Skills & experience

11. Management and leadership skills

13. Health and Safety procedures
14. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
15. Good time management with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
16. Excellent organisational skills

17. For 40 hours full time contracts, 264 hours holiday each year (inclusive of bank holidays) increasing with service, with option to buy or sell leave to suit you. This is pro-rata for part time contracts.
