About the RoleAvanade is seeking a senior enterprise sales leader to drive large-scale mainframe migration and modernization initiatives across global markets. This role focuses on originating, shaping, and closing complex, multi‑year transformation programs for enterprise clients, partnering closely with executive stakeholders across Avanade, Accenture, and strategic partners. You will operate as a trusted advisor to C‑suite and board‑level leaders, helping clients modernize legacy platforms while delivering measurable business outcomes related to cost, risk, resilience, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Enterprise Selling
* Lead senior‑level conversations with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and executive boards on legacy modernization and mainframe risk
* Shape strategic transformation roadmaps aligned to business outcomes rather than technology alone
* Build long‑term, trusted relationships with executive decision‑makers
Sales & Deal Leadership
* Originate and close complex mainframe migration and modernization opportunities, typically ranging from $5M to $50M+
* Own the full enterprise sales lifecycle, from opportunity creation through commercial structuring, negotiation, and close
* Develop compelling business cases including ROI, TCO reduction, and financial impact
* Lead competitive pursuits involving global systems integrators, hyperscalers, and specialized providers
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Orchestrate cross‑functional teams across sales, solution architecture, delivery, finance, legal, and partners
* Provide executive‑level leadership and escalation support throughout the pursuit process
* Ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery while maintaining senior executive sponsorship
Market & Capability Leadership
* Serve as a senior advisor on mainframe modernization approaches (e.g., IBM Z, Unisys, hybrid and cloud migration)
* Contribute to go‑to‑market strategy, offerings, and executive messaging
* Build and leverage strategic alliances and partner ecosystems
Success Measures
* Strategic deal wins and revenue growth from legacy modernization programs
* Strength and depth of executive‑level client relationships
* Win rate on complex, competitive pursuits
* Quality of internal alignment and deal execution
