Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by helping with mobility and daily living activities.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure that care needs are met.
* Follow care plans meticulously to provide tailored support for each resident's unique requirements.
* Document changes in residents' health or behaviour and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
* Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental well-being.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care environment, ensuring a safe space for all residents.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
