Overview
You will be working with our in-house clinical and non-clinical team, including close contact with experienced GPs, to support the delivery of high-quality primary care to patients.

Location: Opportunities across South London locations (see list on website).
Hours: Ideally full-time 37.5 hours per week (weekdays). Part-time candidates will be considered.
Salary: £23,809.50 – £25,000 per annum, full-time depending on experience. Overtime paid if required.
Key Responsibilities
* Help manage administrative aspects of patient care and perform basic clinical tasks, including processing referrals, checking and recording results (urine, blood pressure, ECG), phlebotomy, filing test results, triage of hospital letters, updating patient records, and drafting medical reports.
* Sort and process incoming patient letters (post or email); flag items requiring GP/Pharmacist action in a timely manner.
* Check incoming lab reports and test results; categorize as normal (for filing) or abnormal (requires GP review).
* Scan and file patient information into the EMIS records; data entry of relevant information from letters, tests and reports.
* Prepare patients prior to GP appointments, taking a brief history and basic readings as needed.
* Perform urine dip tests and label sample bottles; conduct blood pressure checks; phlebotomy (weekdays only).
* Explain treatment procedures to patients and arrange any required follow-up appointments.
* Support nursing teams with immunisations and wound care.
* Process and follow up on patient referrals as instructed by the clinical team, including 2-week wait cancer referrals, and manage referral workflow on e-RS.
* Process and complete medical report requests from patients or third parties.
* Summarise a minimum of five new patient records daily and maintain medical records summaries.
* Work in line with Practice protocols and directions from the Line Manager/Clinical Lead.
* Handle telephone and online enquiries related to the above tasks.
* Attend staff meetings as required.

* Fast learner who can follow processes and procedures accurately and efficiently.
* Good communication skills to work with both clinical and non-clinical teams.
Minimum requirements: Good knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, biochemistry, and general medicine. Strong keyboard/computer skills including Word and Outlook. Previous experience with EMIS clinical system is preferred but not required.
