Quality Technician
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (including 30-minute break)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Technician to support, maintain, and continually improve our ISO 9001 Quality Management System across two UK sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong shop-floor presence, working closely with mill operators and production teams to ensure high product quality, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, support, and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
* Conduct daily quality control inspections and shop-floor activities.
* Ensure all manufactured products meet required specifications and customer standards.
* Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
* Investigate, manage, and close internal and external nonconformities.
* Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and review raw material quality and supplier performance.
* Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
* Identify and manage quality-related business risks.
* Support and manage change control processes.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
* Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
* Perform inspection, testing, and verification duties.
* Prepare quality reports, maintain records, and support KPI tracking.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001.

* Excellent communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* SAP experience (desirable).
* Experience working with customers and suppliers.

* Computer literate with good attention to detail.
* High levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Essential
* GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
* Experience within a Quality department in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience supporting or operating a QMS in a large manufacturing facility.
Desirable
* Quality-related certification (auditing, quality control, etc.).
* Exposure to materials testing or metallurgy (mild & stainless steel).
* Automotive supply chain experience and familiarity with PPAP processes.
