Construction Junior Quantity Surveyor, ideally you will have Solar Farm experienec but not essential, to work in my client’s Southend Office with onsite visits too.
Job purpose:
* You will help manage costs, prepare estimates, and ensure projects stay within budget.
* This role involves a mix of office-based tasks like cost analysis and report writing, as well as potential site visits for data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Management: Assisting in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and conducting cost analysis.
* Tender and Contract Support: Helping with the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
* Project Monitoring: Monitoring project costs, ensuring they remain within budget, and preparing reports.
* Financial Reporting: Supporting the preparation of monthly cost/value reports and valuations.
* Risk Management: Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of (ideally Solar Farms) however, construction processes, regulations, and different building contracts.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
* Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
* Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field required.
* You must be CIS registered too.
* Full driving licence and CSCS Card.
