Overview
We are seeking two experienced Shift Electricians to join the engineering team at Tarmac's Linford site on an ongoing contract. This is a hands-on maintenance role within a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of plant and production equipment.
Shift Pattern
* Position 1: Night Shift (18:00pm – 06:00am)
* Position 2: Day Shift (06:00am – 18:00pm)
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and production machinery
* Diagnose faults and repair electrical systems and equipment
* Maintain and replace components including motors, inverter drives, contactors, and control systems
* Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and statutory standards
* Respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance across the site
* Work both independently and as part of the wider engineering team
Requirements
* Recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship
* Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
* Strong fault-finding xsngvjr and problem-solving skills
* Experience with motors, drives, and automation control systems
* 17th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations (or equivalent)
* Basic IT skills and ability to use maintenance systems
Desirable
* Experience in heavy industrial, aggregates, or continuous process environments
* PLC experience (Siemens S5 / S7)
* Shift-based maintenance experience
