Health Care Support Workers - Edinburgh Intensive Treatment Team (IHTT)

Edinburgh Intensive Home Treatment Team provides an alternative to hospital admission for the general adult population presenting with acute mental health distress. The team aims to provide highly skilled assessment and follow-up treatment at home, working collaboratively with the patient, carers and other supports that are available.
More About The Role
As part of the IHTT, you will gain experience with assessment and complex decision making around risk. You will work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, OTs, Art Psychotherapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists. You will be treating patients with medication, DECIDER skills, anxiety management, structure or activity planning.

* Work in a multidisciplinary team (Registered Nurses, OTs, Art Psychotherapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists).
* Provide treatment including medication management, DECIDER skills, anxiety management, and structure or activity planning.
Shifts and Working Pattern
* Support worker shifts are 7 days a week and combine Early (08:00 - 16:00), Late (13:00 - 21:00) and Long Days (08:00 - 21:00).
Who We’re Looking For
* People with previous experience of working in Mental Health; may come from experience as a Mental Health Support Worker or as Psychology graduates keen to gain experience.
* A driving licence is preferable for this post.
