Outreach Recovery Worker - FTC (Ref: 0062ZA)

Our Wigan & Leigh service are looking for an Outreach Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a team with the aims of:understanding your clientskeeping them safecreating a plan they can achieve with your supportchecking in with them and reviewing their progresskeeping accurate and timely records of your contact with themworking effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recoverycontinuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clientssupporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

Job responsibilities

As an Outreach Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be. We are determined and always professional in our approach to each and every case and we never judge, we're just here to help. There will be assessments to carry out and records you need to keep and update, that's all part of our professional commitment and service to our clients and commissioners. Person Specification


Qualifications

* ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.


Experience

* To be successful in the Outreach Recovery Worker role, you will:
* have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
* have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
* be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
* be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work
* have good oral and written communication skills
* be comfortable using IT and digital media
* be organised and able to manage your time effectively
* able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
* be happy to support other WithYou locations when needed
* We'll give your application priority if you:
* have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances
* knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
