The Role
The Content & Campaign Marketing Lead is a pivotal role within the Citrus Group. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of multi‑channel campaigns, driving brand equity and lead generation across the Group’s portfolio.
This role requires a unique blend of creative flair and commercial rigor. You aren't just creating content; you are ensuring every asset serves a strategic purpose. You will work with and lead the day‑to‑day output of the Content & Social Media Marketing Assistant while remaining hands‑on in producing high‑quality design and copy. You will be the brand guardian, ensuring that all communications – whether a LinkedIn post or a printed brochure – are professional, cohesive and results‑driven.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Plan, deliver and analyse integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels to support business growth.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the leadership team to identify priorities and develop strategic campaign calendars aligned with sales objectives.
* Track and report campaign performance, reporting results to the Head of Marketing.
* Monitor performance against set benchmarks, identifying insights and optimisations to improve ROI, providing solutions when targets are at risk.
* Take ownership of campaign KPIs, ensuring that lead generation and engagement targets are met.
* Lead the content strategy for all brands within the Group inline with the brand strategy. Ensure a consistent tone of voice, visual identity and message that aligns with each of the businesses.
* Write and edit high‑quality, SEO‑optimised copy for web pages, articles, case studies and marketing collateral.
* Oversee the production of creative assets including graphics, infographics, videos and digital templates.
* Work closely with external partners or freelancers where needed to support content and design delivery.
Digital Marketing & SEO
* Implement and lead SEO strategies to improve organic visibility and inbound lead generation.
* Conduct keyword research and optimise on‑site content and backlinks.
* Lead email marketing workflows, segmentation, and automation to nurture leads and maximise engagement.
* Ensure social media content aligns with campaign goals and is delivering results.
* Oversee the social media metrics to advise the Content and Social Media Marketing Assistant when necessary.
* Analyse digital metrics across websites and email. Translate data into actionable insights and report to the Head of Marketing.
* Line‑manage and mentor the Content and Social Media Marketing Assistant, supporting their professional development and workload management.
* Support the Head of Marketing in developing the overarching marketing strategy for the Citrus Group of businesses.
* Collaborate with sales, operations and leadership teams to align marketing activity with business goals.
* Present campaign plans and results to the leadership team and key stakeholders with clear performance metrics and recommendations.
* Take accountability for the delivery of content and campaign KPIs, ensuring objectives are met on time, within budget and to a high commercial standard.
Branding & Design
* Act as the primary custodian for all Group brands, ensuring all visual and written output adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a premium, professional standard.
* Hands‑on production of high‑quality marketing collateral, including digital ads, social media graphics, brochures and presentation decks using the Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
* Oversee the Group’s digital asset library, ensuring photography, logos and templates are up‑to‑date, and accessible to the wider business.
* Produce compelling, brand‑aligned copy for both digital (SEO, email, social) and offline (print, events) channels, tailoring the tone of voice to suit different audience segments.
The Person
* Experience: Minimum 3 years in a multi‑channel marketing role, with a demonstrable track record of taking campaigns from initial concept to successful commercial delivery.
* Design proficiency: Highly competent in graphic design tools (eg Adobe creative suite, Canva, Capcut) with a sharp eye for layout, typography and visual storytelling.
* Strategic execution: A proactive "self‑starter" who can translate a broad marketing goal into a detailed project plan and see it through to completion.
* Digital fluency: Solid understanding of SEO principles, email automation and social media algorithms to ensure content is technically sound as well as creative.
* Communication & influence: A confident communicator able to present data and creative concepts to senior stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
* Meticulous standards: Exceptionally detail‑oriented with high standards for grammar, spelling, and visual alignment – nothing leaves the department without a "final polish."
* Commercial mindset: Analytically minded, using data and ROI metrics to justify marketing spend and pivot strategies when necessary.
* Adaptability: Resilient and energetic, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment without losing focus on quality.
* Natural leadership potential: While previous management experience isn't essential, you are a natural mentor who is ready to support the development of a junior team member and take pride in overseeing collective team output.
* Industry context: Experience within the Construction or Built Environment sectors is a significant advantage, though we welcome applicants with a strong B2B or multi‑brand background.
Hours
Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:30 & Friday 08:00 – 17:00
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours to accommodate the needs of our clients and the business.
