The position involves the service, repair and planned maintenance of material handling equipment and could be either a combination of field service and workshop based work. A company vehicle would be provided for the field service work, so a full driving licence is required. Key tasks for the forklift Service engineer or forklift engineer roleThe ability to diagnose equipment faults and problem solve on forkliftsRepair, service and planned maintenance of the equipmentField service and workshop based workRequires the ability to work on your own in the field after full product training or as part of a team in the workshop. Preparing customer reports and paperwork on the equipmentIn addition the forklift Service engineer or forklift engineer is likely to have good Mechanical, Hydraulic and if possible basic 12v Electrical experience relating to this type of equipment.Any Loler knowledge would also be advantageous.
