We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established supported housing provider for a Housing Support Worker to join their accommodation-based support services in the Yate and Staple Hill area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting vulnerable adults within supported housing, homelessness, or similar community-based services.
The role will involve working across shared accommodation schemes supporting adults aged 22+ with low to medium support needs, including individuals experiencing mental health challenges and/or drug and alcohol related issues.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Support Officer:
Provide person-centred housing-related support to residents within supported accommodation
Support individuals to sustain their tenancies and work towards greater independence
Assist residents with practical day-to-day living and maintaining accommodation standards
Carry out housing management duties within supported housing schemes
Promote positive engagement, wellbeing, and appropriate risk management
Liaise with external agencies and specialist support services
Maintain accurate case notes and support records
Work flexibly across multiple local schemes as requiredAbout You
Previous experience within supported housing, homelessness services, or housing support
Understanding of tenancy sustainment and housing management
Comfortable supporting individuals with mental health and/or substance misuse needs
Strong communication and partnership working skills
Flexible and adaptable approach to working across different sites
Full UK driving licence/access to transport desirable but not essential
Able to complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to startingWhat’s on Offer
