An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic individual to play a key role within the Highways Operational Team. As a support officer, you will provide essential administrative support to the Highway Managers and their teams across Kent in the delivery of highway-related work. This includes liaising with other KCC Highway teams, managing administrative tasks such as preparing Joint Transportation Board papers, organizing Parish Seminars, ordering and distributing PPE to operational teams, and other duties like minute-taking and maintaining good financial records.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering excellent customer service through high-quality communication skills.
This is a full-time role based at Haysden Depot, Kent, with hybrid working arrangements. You may also need to travel to other offices or depots to support teams across the county.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients, be a proven team player, and possess effective communication skills across diverse highway teams. Good computer literacy is also essential.
This position is customer-facing, and KCC is committed to ensuring candidates meet the required standards of spoken English/Welsh as per statutory duties under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
