As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced IFA Training & Development Officer to support both Trainee and established Advisers in their professional development journey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping adviser capability and competence within a rapidly expanding firm.
Position Overview:
The IFA Training & Development Officer will support our current IFA Training & Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the career growth and professional development of our IFAs. This opportunity involves supporting 1:1 coaching, contributing to structured training programmes, and ensuring business and regulatory requirements are centred in all compliance and competency frameworks.
* Successful candidates will need to hold a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
* Possess sound knowledge in financial services which include investments, taxation and retirement planning
* Be able to demonstrate the relevant experience in this industry to deliver the requirements of this role
Basic salary £60,000 per annum, pro-rated to reflect part-time hours of 22.5 per week, worked across 3 days. This role is office based with travel between office locations locally and including our new Bristol offices.
Keyresponsibilitiesare broken down into 3 key areas:
GrowthTrainingand Development
* Adviser 1:1 Assessment meetings to support the growth and development of our existing IFA’s.
* Supporting the management and delivery of 1:1 coaching, observations, and the formal assessment of our Advisers.
* Supporting the delivery of training to our Trainee Advisers to support their technical development and soft skills development.
Competency
* Assessing & providing the regulatory and product training requirements of all staff members where applicable.
* Assessing initial and ongoing Adviser competency in line with annual certification requirements.
Compliance
* Conducting annual Fitness & Propriety Assessments in respect of all Senior Managers and Certification staff.
* Ensuring policies, risk assessments and procedures are up to date in line with our Systems & Controls requirements.
* File review checks on Pensions, Investments & Protection (non-investment insurance).
In addition to experienced training professionals, this role would also suit a current or former Adviser looking to apply their industry knowledge in a new and rewarding direction. It offers the opportunity to use your experience to shape and support the next generation of advisers. The position is currently part-time, with clear potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.
