Overview
Senior Mental Health Practitioner role at NSFT Jobs. Based in East Suffolk, predominantly at Ipswich Hospital, Woodlands Unit, within the Suffolk Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT).
The CRHTT is an age-inclusive provision serving a diverse patient base. We provide proactive, high-quality risk management, assessment, and intensive support to adults experiencing mental distress or crisis, with the aim of offering alternatives to hospital admissions. The team works in base locations, patients\' homes, and other safe sites in the community.
We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and conscientious professionals to join our team. If you enjoy working with high-risk cases and developing as an autonomous practitioner, we would love to hear from you.
Previous applicants need not apply.
NSFT is the front door to acute services, delivering triage, assessment, intensive support, and alternative-to-admission pathways, in collaboration with families and other providers. The team supports service users in hospital to enable early discharge and home-based recovery where appropriate.
Communication is key as we undergo positive change and growth. We seek applicants who can communicate professionally with a wide range of people to achieve the best outcomes for service users and families.
Shift pattern typically involves long days, 3-4 shifts per week, with 4 days off. There is 24/7 patient care, and shift work is in place to deliver this service. We offer ongoing training, development, and induction to support your competency in assessment and evidence-based practice.
Why work for us? We are undergoing transformation with strong professional networks and an outstanding leadership team, focused on safer, kinder, and better care. We are committed to supporting staff development and providing an environment in which you can thrive.
Benefits included NHS pension; comprehensive in-house and external training programmes; career progression; starting annual leave of 27 days per annum increasing to 33 days (plus bank holidays); staff physio service; NHS discounts and more.
