Clean Water Network Specialist
AtkinsRéalis is one of the leading names in the field of Clean Water Network, providing services to the Water market sector with many of the UK's water companies as key clients. Due to practice expansion, we are seeking to appoint a Clean Water Network Specialist to join our teams operating from across the UK. We are looking for a strong collaborator, capable of supporting teams and delivering on remote projects as part of our national Practice.
Responsibilities
The role will have key responsibilities relating to business performance, business resilience and technical reputation, and will contribute to the implementation of business strategy.
Technical Duties
* Assume Technical Lead role on projects to ensure AtkinsRéalis delivers Smarter, Faster and More Reliable outcomes for its clients.
* Undertake Project Director role on projects where required.
* Undertake Programme / Framework Manager roles on strategic / multi-disciplinary projects.
* Actively encourage staff to participate in, and contribute to, internal best practice forums, and external profile‑raising activities.
* Promote staff development through training, on‑the‑job experience, and personal development.
Business Duties
* Actively encourage team integration.
* Ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies.
* Client Relationship Development with our key Water Company and non‑Water Company clients, with the strategic growth of both revenue and margin.
* Promote the merge of more traditional engineering skills with innovative digital methods.
* Management / technical support of bidding opportunities to win work and identify and mitigate risks.
About You
The successful candidate shall demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the water market sector, excellent technical skills and a proven track record of business development, client management, project management and line management. You will be required to undertake a key role in the delivery of clean water network infrastructure projects and, as well as being responsible in supporting the leadership and development of our clean water network capability.
The successful candidate should be degree qualified, have appropriate professional qualifications, and have a broad range of experience in:
* Management and technical supervision of a team of clean water network engineers.
* Implementation of industry‑leading solutions and development of innovative solutions.
* Building and calibrating network models.
* Using network models for planning, operational and design purposes.
* Management of Detailed Zonal Studies delivery, Pressure Management and DMA Design.
* Technical Leadership – providing direction and advice to our clients to help them make better asset investment decisions.
Other Key Attributes Required Include
* Demonstrable track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the water industry.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Positive outlook and approachable manner.
* Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal staff and external clients.
* Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi‑task and prioritise when necessary.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
