At Work Lyf Group, we are recruiting for Locomotive Technicians for our global client based in Doncaster
The role of a Locomotive Technician involves:
1. Carrying out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and fault finding on locomotives.
2. Leading engineering contracts, projects, or tasks to support operational performance.
3. Participating in the Engineering Services On-Call Roster, providing technical assistance over the phone or in the field as required.
4. Updating the SAP system to ensure the availability of parts.
5. Inputting data into the locomotive history tracking system.
6. Assisting other engineers on the team.
7. Adhering to strict H&S policies.
8. Carrying out audits in line with company quality management standards and processes.
9. Working in accordance with legislation and rail industry requirements.
Qualifications & Experience required:
* BTEC National Certificate Level 3
* Personal Track Safety certification
* Driving license
Hours:
* 37.5 hours per week plus overtime at time and a half
* Shift pattern: Day (6:00-17:30) and Night (19:00-6:00), with 4 days off - 5 days on - 5 days off - 4 days on
Benefits:
* Salary: £33,300 depending on experience plus 20% shift allowance, totaling approximately £39,960
