About The Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced industrial Electrical Technician to work in the Essex maintenance team. Reporting to a team manager, you will carry out planned maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on NWL sites.
You will liaise with asset owners to deliver maintenance routines on ESW operational sites while safeguarding the site process. Responsibilities include reading schematic diagrams, fault finding, sourcing, and replacing faulty components, understanding AC systems, PLCs, telemetry, level control, VSDs, and motor starting methods.
NWG offers support and training to develop your skills in inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, testing, installing, modifying, or repairing electrical components/machinery. Our mobile maintenance team uses a smartphone and laptop to receive work instructions and update progress.
The role involves working outdoors in a dynamic environment, diagnosing faults, and performing preventative maintenance to maximize plant availability. All tools and equipment are provided.
You will be a fully mobile worker covering the Essex region, starting and finishing from home. The role includes out-of-hours standby work with additional payments, after training.
About You
You should be a time-served electrical technician with at least ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering, with experience in reactive and planned maintenance. Skills in reading electrical drawings, fault finding, and replacing components are essential. A desire to learn and expand your skills through training is important.
Excellent communication, a strong health and safety ethic, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office are desirable. We value diversity and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
