Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and presentation of the hotel. You’ll be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, responding to repair requests, and helping ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
* Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities
* Assist with preventative maintenance schedules
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards
* Support external contractors when required
* Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role preferred
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, or general repairs
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends if needed
* A positive, can-do attitude
