About Us Colets is a thriving, private, not-for-profit health club in the heart of Thames Ditton. With 4,500 members, we offer a wide range of group exercise classes, wellness services, and premium facilities. Job Purpose We’re looking for a passionate and organised Studio Coordinator to lead and oversee our group exercise programme, including both traditional classes and paid courses (e.g. Pilates Reformer, Vitality). You’ll manage a large freelance team (60 instructors), support in-house development, and ensure our timetable is varied, inclusive, and high-quality. As a capable all-rounder, you’ll also be able to teach classes when needed. Key Responsibilities Members Be the main contact for group exercise feedback and use it to improve the offering. Monitor class quality, safety, and member experience. Manage class demand and ensure fair access using our Strike Policy. People Lead, motivate, and support freelance and employed instructors. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of new instructors. Manage freelance pay benchmarking and incentive schemes. Operations Oversee studio timetables across multiple spaces using our CRM platform. Support and promote Pilates Reformer and other paid programmes. Liaise with Operations to maintain safe, clean, and fully equipped studios. Work with Marketing to promote classes and launches. Ensure health & safety policies are followed at all times. Finance Approve invoices and timesheets. Provide attendance and feedback data to inform future planning. Manage department costs and work within budget. KPI Targets Improve Member NPS related to studio classes. 25% of classes to be covered in-house. 100% compliance on freelance instructor qualifications and CPD. Grow participation in paid classes (Reformer, Vitality, Cargo, etc.). Qualifications & Experience Level 2 GX and/or Level 3 fitness qualifications. Experience in studio coordination or similar leadership role. Strong communication, organisation, and rota management. Understanding of fitness trends and a passion for wellness. First Aid/Defibrillator qualified or willing to train. Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Pilates Reformer. Personal Qualities Friendly, approachable, and motivated.
