Are you an experienced planning professional with a passion for shaping places and delivering infrastructure that supports thriving communities? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Principal Planning Infrastructure Officer to join our Planning Policy team and play a lead role in delivering Woking's future growth agenda.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the strategic planning and coordination of infrastructure required to support development across the borough.
* Manage and develop the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP), working with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to ensure infrastructure needs are identified and delivered in a coordinated way.
* Build productive relationships with infrastructure providers and strategic partners.
* Provide expert advice on planning obligations, developer contributions and infrastructure funding mechanisms.
* Prepare reports, evidence and briefings for Members and senior officers.
* Lead on preparing a new CIL charging schedule and manage and oversee CIL casework, including managing the Planning Benefits Officer.
Qualifications
* Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
* Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, the Royal Town Planning Institute.
* Significant experience in infrastructure planning and planning policy.
* Excellent project management and partnership working skills.
* Strong written and presentation abilities.
