Staffline Ireland is recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a leading food company.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for spearheading sales growth and expanding market presence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping business development strategies and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth.
2. Create detailed reports and analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
3. Lead and support the van-sales and distribution teams with guidance and coaching.
4. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, the competitive landscape, and potential clients, developing targeted sales strategies accordingly.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
6. Monitor and analyze KPIs to assess sales performance and develop insights for continuous improvement.
7. Collaborate with marketing to design and implement promotional campaigns supporting business development.
8. Act as a brand ambassador by networking, showcasing products, and generating leads.
9. Perform other duties as required.
Person Specification:
* Proven success in sales and business development, ideally within the fresh food industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in identifying and winning new business.
* Excellent customer focus, communication skills, and rapport-building abilities.
* Proficient in creating reports and analyzing sales data and market trends.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills to convey value propositions effectively.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
* A passion for the baked goods industry and a good understanding of the market and customer preferences.
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
