What could you be doing?
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
1. Support consolidation of financial reporting at the Sony Europe corporate level.
2. Assist in month-end close activities and collaborate with Sony Global Finance & Accounting to ensure accurate reporting.
3. Conduct monthly financial analysis, prepare financial bridges, and review variances to support transparency and decision-making.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost allocations, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
Analysis & Insight:
5. Analyse key financial KPIs and provide insights to senior management for strategic initiatives.
6. Support projects aimed at improving financial processes, operational efficiency, and cost management.
7. Monitor and analyse macroeconomic trends to support business planning and financial strategy.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting:
8. Act as a finance partner to senior management, providing clear financial insights and recommendations.
9. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on financial performance for management and corporate initiatives.
10. Liaise with internal partners to ensure accurate understanding of the numbers and financial context.
Project & Process Support:
11. Support corporate initiatives by building financial models, preparing cases, and tracking project performance.
12. Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and special assignments as needed to enhance business insights and reporting.
You will bring:
13. Strong analytical skills and passion for dealing with large sets of data.
14. Numerically minded with a desire to build a career in Accounting and/or Finance.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and present sophisticated analyses to senior leaders.
16. Self-motivated, proactive, organised and inquisitive mentality.
17. Flair and excitement for new IT applications and software platforms.
18. Proficiency in MS Office (esp. Excel – Pivot tables, Lookups),
Our Recruitment Process
After you have submitted your application, selected candidates will be asked to complete a self-service video interview. After we have carefully reviewed all the video interviews, those who successfully meet our hiring criteria will be invited to a virtual assessment centre with our hiring teams. During the assessment centre, you’ll be presented with various activities that allow us to see what you can do but also enable you to get a taste of what your day-day work will entail. You’ll also get a chance to meet some of our current interns & hear why you should be so excited to jump in. After the assessment centre has concluded, we’ll move to the offer stage, and before you know it, you’ll be here at Sony!
Throughout the recruitment process until your start date, you’ll have regular connections with our HR & Sony Placement Year programme team, as well as our current interns to answer any questions and provide guidance and further information on your Sony journey. This will also allow you to connect with the other future interns who will form the 2026 Sony Intern cohort and start building your network. If you will need to relocate, this is also a great opportunity to find others in the same situation.

Your new office
Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite canteen with a wide range of options available, and a barista style coffee shop. There is a well-provisioned onsite gym run by our own Sony Wellbeing Coordinator, with classes on set days in the mornings, at lunch and after work hours. We have a staff car park which includes electric charging points, an undercover and secure bike rack, or if you will use public transport we have a shuttle bus service that regularly runs between train station and the office at peak times.
