Priory Hospital Glasgow is looking to recruit a Occupational Therapist (Eating Disorders) to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours.
Priory Hospital Glasgow is one of the UK’s leading inpatient treatment centres, providing specialist support for mental health conditions and addictions. We provide evidence-based treatment for a range of mental health problems, including treatment for depression, as well as alcohol rehab and drug rehab. We can also offer private autism assessments for adults.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
* Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progress.
* Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
* Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, along with full BAOT membership and HPC registration. They should have a minimum of three years’ experience, including at least one year working within a specialized area such as addictions, neuro-rehabilitation, or eating disorders. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves developing and maintaining productive and supportive relationships with patients through effective communication, coaching, counselling techniques, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
