Our client, a respected tier 1 civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to deliver a flagship £10 million flood defence scheme across the beaches of Paignton and Preston in Torbay. This project is vital for safeguarding more than 350 properties, the town centre, and two much-loved seafronts, while enhancing public spaces and celebrating the natural character of the area. The scheme has evolved from a traditional sea wall into a tiered coastal defence system enriched by community-led placemaking. It balances essential infrastructure with environmental and public realm enhancements — protecting against sea level rise while creating inviting, resilient spaces for residents and visitors. As Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering this complex scheme to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
