Job Summary:
Situated in the beautiful fishing town of St Ives, Cornwall, Tregenna Castle Resort are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and professional Resort Housekeeping Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Director and the General Manager, you will be required to work 5 days out of 7, to include regular weekend, evening and Bank Holiday shifts, with Duty Manager duties.
Tregenna Castle Resort boasts an 83-bedroom Hotel, and set within our 72 acres we also let over 50 Self-catering properties, Timeshare Lodges and owner-let Luxury Signature Collection Homes.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resort Housekeeping Manager to oversee the operations of our Housekeeping department across the Resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and Hotel Housekeeping management, with exceptional leadership and guest service skills. As the Resort Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all Resort Housekeeping operations, providing an exceptional guest experience, and managing a team of approximately 30 dedicated staff.
Duties:
- Supervise all Resort Housekeeping operations.
- Ensure that all guest needs are met and exceeded by providing exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue generation
- Manage and motivate a diverse team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the maintenance of Resort facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the human resources department to address employee issues and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing financial reports and implementing cost control measures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Hotel or Resort Housekeeping Management is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of human resources practices and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays as needed.
