Salary: £30,049 - £33,155 (£15.62- £17.23 per hour)

Our Turning Point Scotland Residential Services in Turnaround are looking for people like you to help provide person-centred support to adults with a wide range of needs, through delivery of a group work programme on an individual 1:1 basis as part of a team.
The Turning Point Scotland Turnaround service delivers focused services that address the complex and interrelated issues of offending behaviour and problematic use of alcohol and other drugs.
An asset-based approach has been adopted to help increase an individual’s self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence. Self-development and reflection are key to an individual when putting into practice the skills and learning achieved within the service to help sustain their recovery and offending behaviour.
We are seeking a dedicated Group Work Facilitator to provide an evidence-based group work programme designed to support citizenship and reintegration focusing on:
* Offending behaviour
* Substance use
* Mental Health
* Physical health
* Time & goals
* Relationships
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development of an evidence-based programme.
* Facilitating group activities: Planning, leading, and guiding group discussions, projects, or exercises.
* Developing group dynamics: Fostering positive interactions, communication, and collaboration among group members.
* Addressing individual needs: Recognising and responding to the unique needs and concerns of each group member.
* Promoting skill development: Helping individuals acquire and improve skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
* Achieving group goals: Guiding the group towards achieving its objectives and desired outcomes.
* Evaluating group progress: Assessing the effectiveness of group activities making adjustments as needed.
* Developing the skills of your team in the facilitation of group work.
* Work alongside the Service Manager to lead the development and sustainability of our services
* Support staff development and ensure effective team working
You will have a strong understanding/interest of the multiple and severe disadvantaged, risk-need-responsivity model, and trauma-informed care.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well. This includes health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services, family and our own staff members.
Due to the rural location and lack of public transport/safe pedestrian links, you must be able to travel independently to the service.
This is a part-time post working on a rota basis, the service operates 24/7.
Please note that IT skills are required for all our vacancies.
Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
