We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our team—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:
* Review complex Canadian individual and corporate tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
* Review and approve technical research and tax planning recommendations for private companies
* Deliver high quality tax planning, services, and advice
* Work closely with Tax Partners and other senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provision and tax advisory engagements
* Actively mentor and coach staff to their highest potential
* Build and manage client relationships at a senior level and identify client service opportunities
What you bring to the table:
* Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or equivalent
* Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Tax Program
* 7+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty
* Excellent technical knowledge of Canadian tax related issues and of GAAP requirements for tax provisions
* High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
* Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills
* Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and develop team members
* Ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines
