Private Family Solicitor

Salary: Up to £55,000

About the Role
A well-established South Wales law firm with strong community roots and a long-standing reputation for providing approachable, high-quality legal services is looking to appoint a Private Family Solicitor to join its Caerphilly office. Known for its supportive working culture and loyal client base, the firm offers a collaborative environment where solicitors are trusted to manage their work while being supported by an experienced team.
A new opportunity has arisen for either a Newly Qualified Solicitor or an experienced Family Solicitor to join the firm’s private family department. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to work on a varied caseload of privately funded family matters while playing a key role in the continued development of the department.
The role will involve:
* Managing a caseload of private family matters including divorce and financial remedy (ancillary relief).
* Advising clients on a range of family law issues with professionalism and sensitivity.
* Working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues within the family department.
* Drafting and preparing legal documentation relating to family proceedings and financial settlements.
* Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of client care.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor (NQ+ PQE) or an experienced legal professional with strong private family experience.
* Have experience handling matters such as divorce and ancillary relief.
* Be confident managing files independently while also working effectively within a team.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
* Be organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload.
