An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer to join our Kidlington based Indirect Procurement department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. About The Role In this new position you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop our Corporate Services, and Engineering Outsourcing Categories including management, negotiation and onboarding of strategic suppliers required by the business. Category Leadership What you will do Development of Category Strategy including identification of cost improvement initiatives Preparation, issue and management of RFx activity through to award and full contract life cycle management, in conjunction with supplier quality assurance team and internal customers Responsible for development of project sourcing strategies, tender documentation, contract negotiation, evaluation and vendor on-boardings Responsible for documenting and obtaining relevant approvals for contract award in accordance with the Purchasing Standard and Contract and Category Management Standard Serve as an escalation point for any contractual or supplier disputes Due Diligence Ensuring Fortescue Zero remains compliant with appropriate legislation, internal policies and processes Ensuring suppliers are aware and adhering to safety requirements including risk assessments, site induction and permit to work processes Protection and management of Fortescue Zero’s reputation and risk levels by; Ensuring appropriate NDAs are in place Commercial background checks are completed in a timely manner Contracts or T&Cs are in place prior to orders being released Education of stakeholder group to policies and process Conducting supplier assessment audits with supplier quality assurance team & Key Stakeholders Communication & Reporting Tracking, monitoring and reporting to Procurement leadership team and senior management of; Business objectives progress Supplier Performance Savings Spend Under Contract Spend Under Strategy SLA and KPI management Sourcing, Contract deliverables and timelines procurement status to key internal stakeholders,; Creation and development of supplier performance data and working with Key Stakeholders to ensure effective supplier development plans are in place and measures executed; Develop improvement action plans for underperforming suppliers; Chair regular business reviews with key suppliers ensuring strategic alignment is achieved; About You Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Previous indirect procurement experience with clearly demonstratable experience in Outsourcing activities Experience in review and negotiation of supply contracts Experience in creating and delivering complex multi-vendor strategies Ability to review and understand technical specifications, proposals and commercial analysis Awareness of SQA requirements & standards Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure, in a controlled manner Strong data driven and visual reporting skills, ensuring opportunities and risks are effectively communicated Excellent negotiation and influencing skills; Travel is an essential part of the role, so a clean driving license is required The ability to retain and manage strong relationships internally and externally This is a fast paced, growth environment therefore the ability to pivot and prioritise workload Desirable Experience, Skills & Qualifications Qualified to BSc or equivalent, ideally in Business Services, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration Qualified, part qualified or working towards CIPS Experience or understanding of Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or Manufacturing industries would be advantageous Awareness of sustainability initiatives and proven delivery against ESG targets Personal Characteristics A positive and agile approach to a changing environment A desire to drive positive change A desire to be part of a growing organisation with a keen focus on the global environment Ability to thrive and deliver under pressure An entrepreneurial mindset A desire to win as a team and raise the bar What is in it for you?
