These posts are subject to a training agreement, whereby the successful candidates will be expected to fulfill all core competencies within the first six months of employment with the University Hospitals of Leicester.
Responsibilities
* To provide a high standard of physiotherapy care as part of a responsive and patient centered service.
* To effectively manage an autonomous clinical caseload and to undertake duties as a qualified Physiotherapist, under the supervision of Senior staff.
* To be able to evidence competency and effective clinical reasoning
* To work in conjunction with the MDT to provide holistic care for patients.
* To develop and maintain your knowledge and skills within the specialism you are working in.
* To be an advocate for the patient and their carers.
* Remain up to date on local and national issues affecting and influencing patient care.
* To work with others to support their development.
* To raise concerns when appropriate.
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS trust (UHL) is recruiting to its very popular Physiotherapy Band 5 rotation scheme. This consists of over 20 different speciality areas including:
* MSK outpatients
* Trauma
* Elective
* Acute stroke
* Early Supported Discharge
* Level 1 Brain Injury Unit
* Level 2 Neuro Rehab unit
* Oncology
* Paediatric in patients and out patients
* Acute medicine
* Rapid assessment and discharge
* Respiratory medicine
* ITU and Surgery
* Cardiology
* Renal
* Vascular
* Pelvic Health
* Medical rehab
Rotations are 4 months long.
Due to some internal promotions we are looking for someone who can develop and grow with us. We will offer you a wide variety of clinical and leadership experience supported with a comprehensive training package. There is a thorough induction process, preceptorship package, clinical supervision and In service training supported through appraisals and 1:1 meetings. In addition there are opportunities to take part in audit and research, become involved in carrying out service development and attend external training courses and conferences. You will be well supported by highly experienced clinicians and leaders. We are able to provide opportunities for career development and secondments into higher band posts within our large organisation.

The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment. The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
