Business Development Manager - Renewables Cala Consulting is recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing renewables company, offering innovative solutions in Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Heat Pumps. This role will focus on commercial clients in border counties/ROI, delivering projects to SME’s or complex solutions to large, complex, industrial clients. This role will suit a strong new business developer who enjoys building relationships, generating leads, and delivering results. The Role As Business Development Manager, you will drive the company sales with a strong focus on acquiring new commercial clients in the border counties. This is a key role for a proactive and results-driven professional with a proven ability in identifying opportunities, negotiating effectively, and closing deals. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Proactively generate leads and create new business opportunities through targeted outreach * You will identify, negotiate and close sales to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and revenue targets * Produce reports on sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and performance metrics * Direct selling across multiple product sets and verticals as agreed * Manage and grow the customer accounts * Conduct thorough market research to identify key customers in relevant sectors and tailor your approach accordingly * Represent the company at industry trade shows and exhibitions, building brand visibility and showcasing product offerings * Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and customer needs * Continuously expand your network and base of prospective clients Essential Skills and Experience * Ideally 3 years’ experience in sales or business development within the renewable energy, technology or an associated growth sector. * Experience working within Northern Ireland’s SME’s and/or Enterprise markets. * A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth. * Exceptional customer focus, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams including product, service delivery, and pre-sales functions. * Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen. * Confident in delivering presentations to commercial customers The Package * Competitive salary and uncapped commission structure * Car allowance and mileage reimbursement * Full training of products, systems and services * Company laptop and phone * Hybrid working options available * Company pension scheme * Comprehensive training on all products, systems, and services * Employee discounts * On-site parking * Private medical insurance * Access to wellness programmes
