As an Electrical Design Technician, you will support the design and development of specialist electrical and electronic systems used in energy industry equipment. Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
7. Support the end-to-end electrical design process, including schematics, system architecture, and documentation
8. Produce and maintain detailed electrical drawings using design tools (., AutoCAD Electrical)
9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (., ATEX, EMC, LVD)
10. Assist in product verification, testing, and validation activities
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Service) to support system delivery
12. Review technical documentation, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with requirements
13. Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating production and field feedback
Additional Responsibilities:
14. Support development of technical documentation (manuals, procedures, bulletins)
15. Participate in engineering and project meetings
16. Assist in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
17. Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within the team
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications:
18. Background in electrical or electronic engineering (degree or equivalent hands-on experience)
19. Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and system design
20. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
21. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
22. Strong attention to detail and structured approach to tasks
Desired Qualifications:
23. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools
24. Familiarity with PLCs (selection/configuration)
25. Exposure to hazardous area equipment or relevant standards (., ATEX, CompEx)
26. Previous experience in a technical or design-focused role
27. Experience within energy, oil & gas, or industrial equipment sectors
