The Role
Lecturers will teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Global Banking School, you will deliver management‑related modules in the areas above. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and stay current with developments in your field and student support practices.
Responsibilities
* All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate.
* Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
About You
* You hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* You have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* You can demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* You have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* You can accurately report and maintain thorough, organised student records.
* You can work under pressure, plan and prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines.
* You have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* You can work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* You hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice, equivalent teaching qualification, or a commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years; or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* You have experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
