The Governors of Streethouse Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional School Business Manager for our small and caring primary school.

The school is looking for individuals with strong business/accounting knowledge and a robust understanding of financial processes and procedures relevant to schools.
The Successful Candidate will:
1. Possess excellent communication and computer skills
2. Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
3. Have the ability to interpret and communicate both financial and non-financial information in a variety of techniques
4. Build good relationships with the whole school community; children, staff, parents and governors
5. Be someone committed to the ethos of the school
6. Be hardworking, dedicated and committed
7. Have a working knowledge and understanding of site and Health & Safety through compliance and other systems
The main purposes of the post are:
8. To be responsible for providing financial support to the Headteacher & Governing Body in the effective management of their delegated budgets and ensuring their compliance with both government and authority regulations/policy.
9. Take a lead role in supporting the Head with the recruitment of staff and in managing associated employment check procedures, in line with Safer Recruitment.
10. To manage the schools HR, providing advice and guidance to staff and others on complex issues.
11. Take a lead role in procurement and securing sponsorship/funding including the management of service contracts.
12. Manage financial management and administration procedures.
13. To develop and promote effective and credible working relationships with managers, members of staff and external bodies as required.
14. Comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection and finance.
15. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
16. Manage the school site/premises; including complying with Health & Safety, overall compliance and its safe and smooth running of all maintenance and contractors.
