The Opportunity Bright Purple are exclusively recruiting for Stampede, a fast-growing SaaS business based in Edinburgh. Stampede builds powerful software that helps hospitality venues connect with their customers, drive revenue, and run smarter businesses. Their platform includes branded guest WiFi, automated marketing tools, and customer analytics and they're at the forefront of hospitality technology. As part of their continued growth, Stampede is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in network support. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical challenges in real-time and building trusted relationships with end users. What You'll Do Deliver second-line technical support for clients using Stampedes platform
Troubleshoot and resolve WiFi, connectivity, and networking issues
Support onboarding and rollout of Stampede solutions to new customers
Monitor account health and proactively support customer success
Collaborate across technical and customer-facing teams to resolve escalations
Contribute to support process improvements and documentation
Essential Skills and Experience 2+ years experience in technical support, preferably in a SaaS or MSP environment
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, DNS)
Hands-on experience with cloud-managed WiFi controllers such as CloudTrax, TP-Link Omada / Omada Cloud Controller, Ubiquiti Unifi / Unifi Cloud Controller, Plasma Cloud or Open Mesh
Experience configuring and deploying networking hardware: routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Captive portal systems: voucher setup, splash page design, user access control
Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems (e.g. HubSpot, Zendesk)
Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
Desirable Industry certifications (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
Experience with RADIUS authentication, VLAN setups, or multi-site WiFi deployments
Previous experience supporting hospitality WiFi systems or guest network deployments
This is an onsite-first role based in Leith, Edinburgh therefore only candidates able to commute reliably will be considered.
