Job title: Change and Transition Lead (Edgewing)
Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £52,446+ Dependent of skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Support the Transition Manager in planning and implementing Digital Information transition strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
2. Collaborate in coordinating the transition of resources, processes, IT systems, and contracts to maintain business continuity
3. Contribute to improving transition processes by identifying opportunities for optimisation and sharing best practices
4. Assist in the development of clear communication materials and engagement strategies to support smooth transitions
5. Work with cross-functional teams to help prevent issues and support the definition of recovery action plans
6. Prepare regular updates and progress reports for the Transition Team
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
7. Experience in delivering complex IT programmes, supporting seamless transitions and managing cross-functional projects in dynamic environments
8. Confident applying a range of programme and project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) with a flexible and outcome-focused approach
9. Skilled in managing contracts and resources, especially during periods of organisational change, procurement activity, and within IT governance frameworks
10. Values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across diverse teams and stakeholders
11. Effective leadership and team management skills with a focus on collaboration, motivation, and development

The change and Transition Team
You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced team within the BAE Systems Air sector, committed to the delivery and progression of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) for the UK. You will play a central role in working across a diverse stakeholder group of functional and delivery teams including tri national industry and government colleagues from across our partner nations to support the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
