Job Opportunity: Strategic Asset Appraisals Manager (Temporary)
Location: Exeter, Weston-super-Mare, or Tolvaddon
Salary: £24.32 per hour
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Length: Until October 2026
We’re looking for a highly analytical Strategic Asset Appraisals Manager to join our Asset Management team on a temporary basis. This is a pivotal role within the Strategic Asset Data team, where your expertise will help shape decisions on the future of our housing stock portfolio.
Your insights will guide whether assets should be retained and invested in, or considered for alternative options such as redevelopment or disposal.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Analyse financial and strategic property data to assess portfolio performance
Identify and address poor asset performance using robust evidence
Consolidate performance intelligence across directorates to support asset grading
Evaluate works and costs required to maintain compliance with statutory/regulatory standards
Validate internal and external stock databases
Conduct asset inspections and produce project proposals
Collaborate with the Development team on redevelopment opportunities
Complete property options appraisals and feasibility studies
Review leases, titles, and S106 agreements for constraints
Present findings and recommendations to assurance groups
Support the disposals programme and strategic decants
✅ About You
Strong knowledge of social housing, asset management, and the construction industry
Proven ability to analyse and present complex data effectively
Proficient in Excel, databases, reporting tools, and PowerBI
Understanding of business planning and financial viability in housing
Experience with legal and planning documents (desirable)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Flexible, adaptable, and confident working under pressure
Relevant qualifications (A-levels or equivalent in construction field minimum)
Membership of RICS, CIOB, or RIBA (desirable)
