Learning Support Assistant – Birmingham Start Date: Septemeber 2025 Location: Birmingham Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive? We’re proud to be working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Birmingham that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly and committed team. About the School Set in a vibrant and diverse part of Birmingham, this two-form entry primary school is known for its inclusive ethos, high aspirations, and strong sense of community. The school has recently been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and has a reputation for its warm, supportive environment and its commitment to holistic child development. Leadership is strong, with a clear vision for providing all pupils—regardless of background or ability—with the tools they need to succeed. The school has a dedicated SEN provision and prides itself on its tailored support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support children across the curriculum. A key part of your role will involve working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, manage routines, and develop socially and emotionally. Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one and small group support both inside and outside the classroom * Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning strategies * Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside professionals * Support the emotional wellbeing and social development of pupils Requirements * Experience supporting children in an educational setting (school, nursery, or similar) * A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach * Understanding or interest in supporting pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs * A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential Whether you’re looking to build on your classroom experience or take the first step into a career in education, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact.
