Main Duties:
As our bar supervisor you will embody our values and successfully assist the pub manager and assistant manager in the FOH pub operations; to ensure the overall guest experience is always kept to the highest standard. Overseeing cleanliness across all of the bar and cellar areas and assist in the day-to-day set up and running of The Merry Harriers. Help to communicate our values and brand both internally and externally via our team and guest communication. Nurture and train staff members encouraging development and continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities:
● Bar Management – Oversee orders, ale conditioning, seasonal cocktail development, stock management and stock takes, bar EHO, EPOS systems, and keeping beverage menus up-to-date. Oversee and manage the bar, cellar & line cleaning.
● Leadership – Set the standard. Lead with calm, confidence, and care, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service every day at The Merry Harriers. Assist in the development of bar training initiatives, helping to communicate our values and offering both internally and externally via our team and guest communication.
● Product Knowledge - Hold full product knowledge of all food and drinks, ingredients and allergens, providing customers with alternative suggestions and upselling while promoting our proudly local ethos. Pass on your knowledge to staff via day to day training and nurturing.
● Organisation - Keep The Merry Harriers running smoothly and efficiently day to day. Oversea services and deputise managers in their absence. Manage the pub set up and presentation, opening and closing procedures and all bar cleaning. Ensure allergen training and food hygiene training. Keep The Merry Harriers running smoothly and efficiently. Full knowledge of guest check-ins, EPOS management, booking systems, menu writing and cash up. Focus on the details that matter, from service to cleanliness and everything in between.
● Customer service - Handle guest complaints efficiently, motivate the team to upsell effectively, and assist with employee training. Be the face of The Merry Harriers and take pride in the little things that make a big difference to our guests, whilst delivering a warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
● Teamwork - Work closely across all departments, supporting one another during busy shifts to ensure smooth and efficient service, with kind and clear communication. Delegating tasks to staff members while maintaining strong working relationships within your team and all departments

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
