Role Overview
We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. The role will be based mainly at our Duffield store but will require travel to our Wollaton and Netherfield stores when needed. You'll be the first point of contact for customers, offering advice, processing sales, and ensuring a smooth customer journey from enquiry to installation.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers and provide excellent service in-store and over the phone.
* Assist customers in choosing flooring products, providing advice on suitability and styles.
* Prepare quotes and process sales using our in-house system.
* Maintain store presentation, including displays and sample areas.
* Manage stock enquiries and liaise with suppliers as required.
* Support with administration tasks such as invoicing, scheduling fittings, and updating records.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across all three stores to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Skills & Requirements
* Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, and sales/CRM systems).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reliable, organised, and proactive with attention to detail.
* Flooring or interiors knowledge is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
* Flexibility to work across different store locations when required.
* Must be available to work Saturdays.
