To ensure that the moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customers' agreed specifications, with a focus on minimizing downtime and scrap levels.
Tasks & responsibilities:
* Ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good working order. Report any defects to supervision and carry out remedial work within the technician's level of competence.
* Verify that product arriving at the packing station meets acceptable quality standards by conducting regular checks for visual faults, weight, and filling all relevant paperwork accurately.
* Remove, clean, refit, realign, or adjust parts of moulding machines within the technician's competence, including work on heads, tooling, blowpins, blades, and ancillary equipment.
* Maintain constant raw material supplies by changing over bins and report to supervision if a usable bin is not available before issues arise.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area, moulding machines, and ancillary equipment.
What makes you great
Skills/Experience:
* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
* Preferably mechanical engineering knowledge or background.
* Previous experience operating or running machinery; training on specific ALPLA machinery will be provided.
* Exposure to plastic manufacturing processes is highly advantageous.
